Health & Disability Advocates (HDA) is committed to protecting the rights of children, people with disabilities, and low-income older adults. These vulnerable populations need a range of services, supports and opportunities to lead fulfilling lives; reach their self-determined goals; and obtain financial security. HDA strives to help them by protecting and strengthening federal and state safety net programs like: Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Medicare and Medicaid. Through its various programs, extensive policy work, and direct client representation, HDA advances its national policy and advocacy agenda.
